Luego de la molestia que generaron las palabras de Romeo, de Aventura, en su reciente participación en El show de Cristina (Univisión), donde enfrentó los rumores que aseguraban que él era gay diciendo "yo no soy 'pájaro"', el cantante se disculpó con su público y aseguró que nunca tuvo ninguna mala intención.

"Si mis palabras fueron ofensivas para usted, y para la Alianza GLAAD, con todo respeto no fue mi intención hacer sentir mal a nadie, y les pido disculpas a todos", declaró el cantante de 28 años a través de un comunicado enviado a GLAAD (Alianza Gay y Lésbica Contra la Difamación).

El intérprete de "Su veneno" aseguró que no tiene ningún sentimiento negativo hacia las personas gay y lamentó que se haya podido malinterpretar el uso de la expresión "pájaro", que en República Dominicana se utiliza de manera peyorativa para referirse a los homosexuales.

"Como dije en El show de Cristina, no soy homofóbico, mas tengo amistades gay y personas en mi staff también gay", aseguró. "La palabra 'pájaro' para muchos significa gay y no es ofensiva, ni vulgar. Pero admito que debí usar una palabra más adecuada".

El vocalista de la agrupación bachatera no se limitó a ofrecer disculpas por su ofensa sino que aseguró que gracias a ello aprendió una buena lección y declaró públicamente su amor hacia la gente gay.

"Esto para mí es una lección, y en el futuro no volverá a ocurrir. De nuevo, mil disculpas y no quisiera perder fanáticos gays, por que los amo igual a todos, sin discriminar", enfatizó Romeo.

Jennifer Lopez will help New Yorkers ring in 2010 with a live performance in the city's famous Times Square.

The pop star will headline the live TV segment of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010" on December 31.

Rockers Daughtry are also set to take to the stage in the center of Manhattan on New Year's Eve, while the Black Eyed Peas will be providing the entertainment for the Las Vegas portion of the show.

Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and Keri Hilson will also perform at the Sin City celebrations.

Other acts featured on the New York show include Rihanna and Shakira, who both prerecorded their performances to air next week.

I can not wait to see this movie and Jennifer Lopez back on the Big Screen. I have enjoyed all of her movies some did good other did not but she has somothing most others do not and all of her movies have been carried on her shoulders.
